The High Lonesome Ranch - House & Cabin Rentals

The High Lonesome Ranch

The High Lonesome Ranch has a lot more to do than just fishing and hunting. With such a variety of activities to choose from, we encourage you to custom-build your vacation. After selecting your lodging package from above, choose from the activities below to create your unique Colorado experience. Our Guest Services Team is on hand to help you build an itinerary with the perfect blend of recreation and relaxation. And our guides are among the best in the business. If you've always wanted to learn a new activity, they will patiently teach you every step of the way.

Guest House

Closest to the main lodge and dining area, the eight-bedroom Guest House provides a spacious retreat for up to 16 guests. The Guest House is a cabin design with large windows that allow you to watch mule deer graze while drinking your morning coffee. Inside you'll find a fully-appointed kitchen and adjoining breakfast room, a great room for lounging, a large recreation room with an antique gaming table, flat-screen satellite TV, DVD player, WIFI, a stone fireplace and pool table, and a screened porch, ideal for reading and relaxing. the wide, open deck across the front of the house is the perfect spot to wind down from the day and catch the true meaning of purple mountains' majesty at sunset. Top off the evening under the stars.

Pond House

The roomy five-bedroom Pond House is a short drive from the main lodge and can accommodate up to ten guests. What makes the setting complete are the spectacular western views of the mountains and fields from the front of the house. Anglers love watching trout rise in the adjacent trout pond. Here, just a few yards from the front door, you can warm up for the day casting to some very nice-sized trout as they cruise by each morning.

Forshay Log Cabin

The two-bedroom, two-bath Forshay log cabin is a drive up the valley and offers an awesome view of the peaks and valley below. Refurbished in 2008, there are two bedrooms, a fully-appointed kitchen, and a dining/lounging area. The Forshay bunkhouse is a few steps away, and has an additional two bedrooms and a shared bath. The combination makes for a perfect family retreat.

Gratuities are included in our 15% resort service fee that is added along with applicable sales tax to your package.
The resort services fee covers gratuities for all ranch staff. Behind the scenes, everyone plays an important role in making your visit memorable. Our success is displayed by the fact that our agriculture, wild-life, maintenance, culinary and guest service teams all support one another.
The High Lonesome Ranch will be the 2010 host for a co-sponsored event. Wine on the Fly and Fly Rod and Reel Magazine present a unique fly-fishing and wine tasting event at The High Lonesome and K-T Ranches.

Join us from July 14-18, 2010 for three-days of prime-time fly-fishing and wine tasting. Fish and socialize with some of the best-known editors and writers in the industry as well as some of the premier vintners from the Napa and Sonoma Valleys.
