K-T Ranch, Colorado - Accommodations

The High Lonesome Ranch

The K-T Ranch House

The K-T is one of the few original homesteads that remain in the Meeker area. The four-bedroom ranch dates back to the late 1800’s. Sleeping configurations accommodate either four couples in king and queen beds. These beds can be switched to single twin beds and can sleep up to 8. There are two shared bathrooms, at the ranch, and the entire ranch house was remodeled and reappointed in 2009.

A Day of Fishing at K-T Ranch

While your stay at the K-T ranch is custom-tailored to your tastes and preferences, it typically begins with a hot cup of The High Lonesome Ranch blended coffee. A breakfast of eggs, omelets, French toast or pancakes will get you ready for your day. All guiding is two anglers per guide, and some of the fishing is a short walk from the front porch. Your guide may take you on a four-wheeler to get you to the hot fishing spots faster. You’ll fish until noon and either return to the ranch house for a lunch of elk burgers or sandwiches made on homemade bread, or enjoy a streamside sandwich, chips, drink and homemade desert. You’ll spend the afternoon fishing and return to the ranch house in the late afternoon for a shower, a cocktail and dinner. Relax in the evening, and get ready for tomorrow. With seven miles of riffles, runs, pools, pockets, braids, and spring creeks you’ll have plenty of spots to try.

Cuisine

Breakfast is a hardy affair of eggs any style, sausage, and toast, freshly made doughnuts, pancakes, or French Toast. Lunch may be elk burgers or a sandwich served on homemade bread. At the end of the day, enjoy a glass of wine while watching the sunset over the distant mountain range. Enjoy a hearty dinner, which may range from grilled rib eye steaks to Southern Fried Chicken. Local ingredients are used as much as possible. After dinner, relax on the porch or catch a game in the recently remodeled common room.

Our Ranch is your Home

Enjoy movies in the refurbished tv room, quiet reading or conversation in the living room, or watch a sunset from your rocking chair on one of the two outdoor porches.
